Ekal Garba event by Ekal Youth Leaders

Ekal Garba event was celebrated on November 7. It was a magical evening, filled with fun, warmth, and festivities & melodious music. The project was the brainchild of EYL, Manasi Danke, a high school senior from Chelmsford. Her proposal was simple and effective – everyone loves to do garba/dandiya around Navratri, why not dance for a cause! And this cause was really about bringing education to kids in rural India, with Ekal Vidyalayas movement. 
Ekal NE team thanked each and every individual who joined for Ekal Garba event and helped bringing education to rural India. They also thanked the students of Eastern Rhythms dance school, which performed at the event and participated in VijayaDashmi pooja.

Crowd funding initiative by Astha and Shefali

Astha and Shefali are currently pursuing undergraduate studies at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Impressed by its activities at grass root level by Ekal Vidyalaya, they have decided to support the cause through CROWD FUNDING initiative. They are confident that this will spread awareness about Ekal among the diverse student population at McGill and provide McGillians a platform to contribute to Ekal.
They request everyone to join them in their campaign of raising $1,000 for this purpose and share this initiative with all their loved ones!

DIWALI MILAN REPORT 2015-16

Diwali Milan program by Mumbai chapter was hosted by Ekal Abhiyan Trust Chairman Shri Jitendra Bhansali on 31st October. It was a significant evening for all, as the connection between the donors and members was smoothly bridged. The aim to motivate youth donors to volunteer for this cause was successfully achieved and there were spontaneous donors that accounted for support to 4 Ekal Vidyalayas.

Ekal Study Circle Meet

Ekal Study Circle Meet was organized on 31st of October, 2015 at IIC, Delhi by Ekal Sansthan. The discussion was about Digital India Mission in context of Rural & Tribal Bharat. The esteemed panel included Dr. Dinesh Tyagi (IAS) - CEO – Common Service Centre (CSC), E-Governance, Ministry of IT, Govt. of India, Shri Deepak Chanduka, CGM(MM & WM), Bharat Broadband Networks Limited, Govt. of India, Shri Arvind Gupta, IIT-BHU, Expert on Digital Policy, Entrepreneur & Founder Member iSPIRT, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Powai, Mumbai, Dr Rishi Mohan Bhatnagar, Global Head - Digital Enterprise Services, Tech Mahindra Limited.

Medical Camp by Mysore Anchal

Ekal vidyalaya Mysore Anchal conducted free ayurvedic medical camp at Gaddige sanch, karimuddanahalli village on 1st November.  The Medical camp was well attended and it was a great success.

Chintan Baithak for Prashikshan team

The senior most prathmik shiksha prashikshan team comprising 18 members had a Chintan baithak cum workshop in Ekal Farm house, Delhi from 25th to 30th October. Ekal Sansthan has taken up the responsibility to support Prashikshan team. Smt Manjushree, shri Ajeya Pareek, Shri Praveen Arya, Dr Nidhi Rastogi addressed the gathering. The workshop was guided by Shri Srinivas Panda and Shri Raghavan. 
In samapan samaroh Shri Naresh Kumar, trustee BLSP, Sri Naresh Jain, President BLSP motivated the team.

Cleanliness Campaign

The Arogya workers of Jhadol Sanch of Udaipur in Rajasthan contributed to a five day campaign of cleanliness drive under AFI Chip-in foundation in Sagpura & Khakar Villages on 28/10/2015. They cleaned the roads and streets of villages, writing new slogans on wall, training to create soak pit and waste pit was provided to the villagers. The full time workers namely Sh. Rameshwar Dayal (Centre Arogya Team), Sh. Ambalal (Anchal Activity Pramukh), Sh. Sunder Lal (Sanch Pramukh), Sh. Prabhu Lal (Bhag Arogya Pramukh) and Sh. Bherulal (Anchal Arogya Pramukh) led the team in this campaign.
Earlier on 24th October, monthly arogya sevika training camp was held. Dr. Sarita Mittal provided training on Hygiene & Sanitation. A medical camp was organized the next day in Harniya Khera village for 97 patients.

Vanyatra

Thejpur Anchal Nagar Samithi did a Vanyatra on 15th November. They visited Ghorebasti village in Telamara Sanch and motivated the Acharya and villagers. They got a good feedback of the working of Ekal in the village.
