A star-studded virtual gala

International virtual math contest by Ekal USA in collaboration with Ekal Yuva - Ekal Online Maths B 2020

The 2020 Ekal World Math Bee is approaching! Karthik Seetharaman and Kathir Meyyappan are holding Ekal Vidyalaya's first international virtual math competition for students in grades 1-10. The competition is split into four levels based on grade level, with each level taking different tests:

Level 1: Grades 1-2

Level 2: Grades 3-5

Level 3: Grades 6-8

Level 4: Grades 9-10

The first and second prize winners from each grade level will be given gift cards as prizes!

The competition will consist of two rounds, a speed round and a challenge round. The speed round is 15 questions and 20 minutes while the challenge round is 10 questions and 40 minutes. All answers will be integers. Registration is $5.

The schedule for the competition is as follows:

USA/Europe/Canada: December 19, 2020 1PM - 4PM EST

The first of its kind Global contest, with USA, UK, Europe, Australia and Canada along with India happening together. It’s a great opportunity for children to get exposed to such an international level of contest and mentoring in Math and coding!

Ekal NJ-Chapter’s Involvement in ''Sewa Diwali'' Food-drive Initiative

These are unprecedented times as we are in the midst of a Covid-19 pandemic. Many families have lost their only sources of income and facing dire consequences, unforeseen in recent times. For some families, even putting food on the table has been a luxury in this festive season. For this very reason, the communities all over have been coming together to provide just that so that no one goes hungry to bed. During Diwali festivities, Ekal NJ-Chapter, on November 21 joined a food-drive initiative called ‘Sewa Diwali’ to collect non-perishable packaged or Canned items to donate them to "Food Bank Network of SOMERSET County” in NJ. This Ekal chapter donated 1700 Lbs of food and essential items.The Ekal-Chapter not only succeeded in obtaining various items as per the guidelines, but also, received $1000 donation from Ekal volunteers, their families and friends, to meet the goal of at least 1,500 lbs of foodstuff. This ‘Sewa Diwali’ food drive undertaken by ‘Ekal’ was spearheaded by Shri Nutan Bagul, Shri Prashila Bandekar, and Ms Shilpa Satav along with Ekal youths, Shri Prisha Bagul, Shri Anuj Shirodkar, Shri Rhythm Satav, and Shri Adity Satav. In addition to our Ekal Central NJ chapter, the HSS, and World Vegan Vision participated in this drive. ‘Sewa Diwali’ is a collection of organizations and individuals rooted in Indic values who believe in the ‘Sewa Dharma’ - service to the humanity is service to divinity.

Ekal FTS Mumbai awarded

FTS Mumbai received Trophy as award for 'Fair Business Practices in the Charitable Association' category at 32nd CFBP Jamnalal Bajaj Awards function held at IMC hall on 1st December 2020.

Deepotsav celebrated by FTS-Surat Mahila Samithi with children of Shabri basthi (colony)

FTS mahila samithi, Surat, celebrated a grand Diwali with children of Shabri Basthi on 8th November 2020.The program was conducted in Agram Skill development center, Surat. About 200 children participated in this program. All children were given Diwali gifts (sweets, chocolates, sparklers, diya etc) each child was provided with a mask also.
The program was attended by FTS Mahila samithi members Smt Vijya Smt Ashita, Smt Premlatha, and Smt Rithu along with other members.

Ekal Sri Hari Satsang launched virtually, in Coimbatore and Cochin.

Hanuman Chalisa contest prize distribution - Ekal Kerala

FTS Cochin, FTS Mahila Samithi and Ekal Gram Sangathan, Kottayam came together and distributed prize to the winners of ‘Hanuman Chalisa Contest 2020’.

With an oath of increasing the green cover of the planet, Ekal Pune Chapter and Vanbandhu Parishad initiated the massive drive of tree-plantation in 20 villages with a target of extending it to 480 villages in the foreseeable future.

The recently inaugurated EKAL SEVA KENDRA in full action - Computer Training, Swing Machine Training, Beautician Training, Ekal on Wheels.

Launching GRANE

Bhoomi Pujan performed for the food processing site in Ekal Gramothan Centre, Jharkhand. Foundation stones were laid for the launch of latest GRANE initiative aiming to bring e-commerce activities to villages and for generating fresh economic opportunities for the residents.
