"Ekal Foundation" Raises over $4 Million in Star-studded 'Future of India' Gala - Prakash Waghmare

On Saturday, November 13, “Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation (EVF)” raised over $4 million in star-studded virtual Gala, called “Future of India” that highlighted pre-eminent speakers, Ekal’s eclectic accomplishments and youth’s contributions to its mission.
This two-hour event, co-chaired by Shri Mohan Wanchoo and Shri Kamlesh Shah, both successful entrepreneurs and philanthropist, saw overwhelming response from the donors, from the moment it opened up till it was capped by youthful entertainment by “Penn-Masala’, a youthful group. The funds raised at the Gala were for specific projects, such as tailoring training centers, E-shiksha, Ekal-on-Wheels, Telemedicine, Gramotthan Research Centers, and Integrated Village Development. Ekal’s women-centric empowerment activities touched a nerve with all three chief guest speakers of the evening for the future of India. Shri Kiran Mozumdar-Shaw, founder of Biocon and recipient of ‘Padma Bhushan’ honor, emphasized the need for digital tracking of patients by the tech-savvy nursing caretakers, as the core point for managing the pandemic. Ms Renu Khator, President of University of Houston system chancellor, stressed on the important role the education played throughout her stellar career. Shri Naren Chaudhary, CEO of highly successful ‘Panera Bread’ brand, explained how his daughter – ‘Aisha’ - was the central motivating factor in whatever he did in his life. Ms Ranjani Saigal, the Executive Director of Ekal-USA assured him that his daughter’s legacy lives through what Ekal does best. A galaxy of Bollywood stars – from Ms Hema Malini, Shri Boney Kapoor, Shri Subhash Ghai to Shri Varun Dhavan, Shri Udit Narayan, Ms Alia Bhatt - provided glitz with their enthusiastic support for Ekal. The Gala also witnessed the impressive aspirations of Children from Ekal schools. The youth-wing of Ekal-USA had raised a substantial amount of funding to arrest the spread of Covid pandemic. During the Gala, they freely talked about what attracted them most to this largest social endeavor.

Diwali food drive by Ekal Chicago

The weekend before big US holidays of Thanks giving, Ekal Chicago team of Lake County, IL collected over 900 lb of non-perishable food items and donated to local Fremont Food Pantry in Mundelein, IL. The yearly Diwali food drive has been supported by the local community and many Ekal key volunteers. The team has been serving underprivileged families for more than 18 years.  Fremont Food Pantry is serving 125 local families throughout the year.

Naman Jharkhand Gaurav Puraskar 2021 award for Ekal Abhiyan

We are proud to inform that Ekal Abhiyan has been conferred with "Naman Jharkhand Gaurav Puraskar 2021" by Naman International Foundation for Education and Social Research. This award is given in recognition of the extensive work done by Ekal in the field of education and rural development. Hearty congratulations to all the members of the nuclear family on this achievement.
 

Ekal Shri Hari Satsang celebrates their Silver Jubilee

Sapno ka Bharath program was conducted on 15th October 2021 to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of Ekal Shri Hari Satsang. The program was well attended by over 600 people. During the program many service organizations of Surat were felicitated with mementos for their service to people to fight Covid – 19.

Ekal Prayagraj conducted Blood Donation camp

Ekal Yuva, Prayagraj, successfully organized a Blood Donation Drive, along with Rakt sankalp. 51 donors donated in just about 4 hours. The team was ably and super efficiently supported by Ms Surabhi Sahai, Ms Kirti Chawla, Shri Saurabh Puri, Ms Anika Agarwal, Shri Siddharth Agarwal, Shri Piyush, Ms Stuti and others.
Senior Mahila Samiti members Ms Sushma Gaur, Ms Shashi poddar motivated passersby to donate their blood, successfully. Chapter president Shri Rajkamal Agarwal and Secretary Ms Shruti Agarwal encouraged the organizing team with their presence and support throughout the event.

Ekal Yuva, Hyderabad visits

Ekal Yuva Hyderabad team made a Vanyatra to Minpur village in Medak district of Telangana. Children presented traditional dance performances, and Vanyatris explored the know-how of Ekal's workings in the village.

Vanyatra by Rajasthan team

Vanyatra by 21 members of Rajasthan visited Chausala Ekal vidyalaya in Ajmer. There were 14 first timers in the team. The team was delighted and amazed with the kind of work Ekal is doing at Indian villages.
