Pre-Med Internship is now virtual Externship!

In person PME with travels to India in December 2020 have been cancelled after a very thoughtful consideration due to the unusual times. A VIRTUAL PME will be held for 10 days including daily interactive live sessions and virtual tours from India.

Huge participation for Sunder kand Paath

Ekal Abhiyan organized world level Sunder kand Paath across the globe, on the day of Vijayadashmi - 25th October, 2020 (Sunday). A group of senior Ekàl Vyas Kathakars presented live telecast of the program through Subharti TV channel. It was also available live on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
More than 43 Lakh people registered and over 15 million people participated globally.

"Ekal Exposition" is on till 25th November

‘Ekal Exposition’ is extended till 25th November for select exhibitors and sponsors. The organizers are very happy to note the overwhelming response for the event that also helps in connecting new people to Ekal. The stalls are great and products are reasonably priced.

‘Real Corona Heroes Award 2020’ for Ekal Abhiyan

Ekal Abhiyan Trust with its affiliates including Bharath Lok Shiksha Parishad was awarded ‘Real Corona Heroes Award’ on 4th October 2020 from Rotary Club of Delhi University District 3012 for their exemplary work of guarding Ekal villages against the spread of Corona virus.

Plasma Bank initiative by FTS Bengaluru, Mahila Chapter

Friends of Tribals Society, Bengaluru Mahila Chapter has initiated a noble activity by launching a project to facilitate PLASMA BANK to support covid patients. They invite concerned people to donate generously.

"Vanavasi Veshbhusha Pratiyogita" organized

An innovative program was thought of and organized by Ekal Yuva, Surat from 5th October to 16th October, 2020. They named the program as ‘Vanavasi Veshbhusha Pratiyogita’. The objective of the program is to bring both the village and city in one platform with regard to culture. A total of 347 people from 18 states of India and from USA participated.

Vanamahotsava

Coconut saplings and fruit saplings were distributed to 20 karyakarthas and Acharyas at Challahalli Bilikere sanch, Mysore Anchal, Karnataka Bhag. EGS president Shri Balasubrahmanyam, Dr Chandrashekar, Arogya Foundation of India and Anchal Samithi members were present.  Dr Anand, Horticulture department and Dr. Kantharaj, retired Conservator and Director Project Tiger, Nagarahole forest karnataka spoke about the importance of trees, types of trees and subsidies provided by the Government.

GRC at Gajraula

In 2015, Ms Prabha wanted to honor her father, Shri Kirtishesh Madanlal Agarwala, for his vision in thinking of education for children in remote areas of Bharat. She promised to establish a Gramothan centre following which 2 acres of land in Gajraula, one of the remote areas of Amroha district was identified and Bhumi Pujan was done few years back. The Gramothan centre was inaugurated virtually on October 3, 2020. It has been built with a vision to empower and provide employment opportunities for youth – men and women and farmers residing within the radius of 20-25 kms around the centre. The skill centre has been built as per national skill standards with an objective to provide quality training in rural and tribal areas on par with urban areas.

Ekal USA inaugurated the Geeta Devi Poddar National Skill Training Center in Karanjo

Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of USA inaugurated virtually, the Geeta Devi Poddar National Skill Training Center in Karanjo. This is first of several newly built skill training centers that is focused on bringing skill and entrepreneurship training to villages and thus increasing the GDP of the villages.The Geeta Devi Poddar. National Skill Training center is dedicated to the memory of the mother of Ajay Poddar, the donor whose generous support helped shape the center. Shri Ajay Poddar has also supported the Gramothan Resource Center in Hoshangabad, MP. Shri Ajay Poddar is the grand-son-in-law of one of Ekal founder, Shri Madanlal Agarwala.

Vanyatra by FTS Bengaluru Chapter

Members and office bearers of Bengaluru FTS Chapter visited Gaddige village as part of Vanyatra. They appreciated the samithi and karyakarthas for their work during the pandemic and motivated them to be more productive.
