Ekal USA Chicago Event

Sri Shrinarayan Chandak addresses the event

We know it and we are experiencing it that EDUCATION is the gateway to the true liberty, justice, democracy, peace and prosperity. Education is the mother of new ideas, new solutions and new avenues to resolve our problems and opportunities. Equally true is that the BEST we can give to our brothers and sisters is EDUCATION.

Therefore, each of us individually must serve the cause of basic & meaningful education. If we want a peaceful world, then we need a strong India and strong USA. Hence we must make India great by making it politically stable and economically sound. We can not do that without including our tribal & rural brothers and sisters. We must educate them and empower them and must do that now. You! You my friend can make the difference. You can be the change. With your pen, cheque book and the heart – you can honor the pledge card. You can enable 30 children to write their own future. You can make the difference. You can be the change. Let us open our heart to our tribal brothers and sisters. Let us respond to their call.

I am honored to be with you and to talk about giving back to the society. I am proud to say that you are here because you care. Let us give ourselves a big hand.

We are blessed & fortunate. We are educated. Our children are educated. We have received so much from our society in India and here. We now want to give back. We want to give back to our brothers and sisters whom we may have ignored too long. These are 300 million tribals and rurals who had been deprived of education, healthcare, and economic and national opportunities, who have been socially and politically exploited and who could not enjoy their benefits of democracy. You and I, my friends, we will square that account. We will be able to settle that account now. Because we have the Tool, the Vehicle and the Vehicle is Ekal.

Through Ekal Movement, we are now determined to respond to the call from our tribal brothers and sisters.

The more you invest in business, the healthier the business is. So is true with the society. The more you put into the society, the healthier the society is. We have some wonderful Sewa-Service organizations. To name a few: EKAL, INDICORP, Hindu America Foundation and Sewa Int’l. These organizations are global, professional, serving the cause most lean to our heart. Let us join hands with them and make them the BEST WORLD CLASS Organizations.

Sri Sachin Subhedar and his wife Smt. Sai from USA visit Ekal Vidyalaya

"Vanyatra, I believe, leaves a deep impression on the minds of young and old alike. The connection with our roots is almost instant and immensely gratifying. Such love and passion in the interior most of our heartland always moves the Van Yatris. Our experience was no different. But what shook us and cemented our commitment to Ekal Movement was a small gesture by the tiny tots. The school that we visited (Mathni near Panderkawda, Yavalmal MAH) was an evening school. After the arithmetic and linguistic classes and prayer, me and my wife distributed small gifts of school supplies and sweets. Nothing can beat the happiness of seeing little kids devour sweets with relish and we were anticipating just that. However no one touched their sweet. The teacher explained that everyone had come from the fields directly to school and had not chanted the 'Bhojan Mantra'! Such Sanskars cannot be taught in a day or a week and children cannot fake Sanskars. Can our kids do the same? I doubt it. We saluted the teacher for her dedication and could say no more. In urban and overseas life we see prosperity abound. Yet we forget to thank God even for the food we get. I consider it my privilege to have visited the school and see those children. I consider it my privilege to be part of ekal Movement. I need Ekal much more than Ekal will ever need me."

Regards
Sachin
