Shri Putan Singh from Ridora village in Uttar Pradesh was doing inorganic farming until he got trained from Ekal on organic farming. He then started implementing this knowledge in his 3 acre agricultural land. Though initially for some time, he had tough time, later he could bring the cost down by 30% and increase his saving by 70%.
Now the whole village is behind him to implement in their farm and increase the return.
FTS Indore completes 10 years in Ekal service
FTS Indore celebrated its 10th year in the service of Ekal by organizing a play by Ramanad Sagar’s popular TV show Mahabharath’s Shri Nithish Bharathwaj. Good turnout of audience. They were requested by the organizers to support Ekal in whichever possible way by them.
Ekal Yuva meet at Mumbai
The first National Meet of Ekal Yuva was held on 10th August at Mumbai. The event had a participation of 26 Yuva Members from Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Surat, Indore, Bhopal and Mumbai.
The objective of inter circle member bonding was well established and exchange of ideas was very well taken. The whole concept of Kumbh was explained to the Yuva members by Shri Madhavendra to help them plan the road map ahead.
Ekal Yuva, Surat celebrates Youth Day
Ekal Yuva, Surat celebrates International Youth Day by initiating an activity to plant and grow 30000 tress in the next 3 years, in association with Round Table India. They also took a pledge to work for a better future of every youth in the world.
Innovative way of fund raising by FTS, Ahmedabad Mahila
FTS Ahmedabad Mahila samethi found a new idea for fund raising. They conducted Housie game where 425 ladies participated and raised funds to take care of about 66 Ekal Vidyalayas.
Awareness program at Apartments by FTS Bangalore
All wings of FTS Bangalore – Chapter, Mahila Samithi and Yuva – came together and organized Ekal Awareness Program at an apartment in Bangalore and presented the activities of Ekal Abhiyan to all its residents. The response was so good that it plans to organize more such programs at different apartments.
Ekal Workshop in Kirodi Mal College, University of Delhi
A Workshop was organized in Kirodimal College, Delhi on 19 August 2019 by BLSP to connect University students with Ekal Abhiyan. More than 90 students participated. Shri Surendra Jindal (Trustee – BLSP), and Shri Nand kishore Agrawal (National President BLSP), inspired all students to join this Ekal campaign for the service of the country. Dr Virendra Kumar explained the importance of Ekal. Children of NSS who attended the workshop, showed much enthusiasm in Ekal Abhiyan.
Ekal Sansthan's Chennai Study Circle organized its 3rd Meet
Third Study circle meet was organized, by Chennai Study Circle of Ekal Sansthan on 13th July 2019 captioned “Chemical free farming for sustained agriculture.” Shri Arunachalam, pioneer in green initiatives, was the chief guest and he spoke on the necessity to have natural farming with minimum usage of water. He also highlighted how to harness sunlight fully for farming activities. It was interesting to note the preparation of Amruthpani, Panchakavvya and Vermi Compost.
Karyakarta Samman Samaroh
A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement. Karyakarta samman samorah was held in Kolkata on the auspicious day of Janmashtami. 25 karyakarthas were selected and rewarded for their dedicated work and contribution to Ekal.
Shri Anand Pappuri from Detroit visit Ekal village
Shri Anand Pappuri from Detroit, Michigan visited Ekal school in Mambapur village in Vikarabad, about 120 kms from Hyderabad last month. Children demonstrated what they learnt in Ekal that included Math tables, Slokas and skits too. It was impressive. He planted tomato and Chilli plants in the village. He says it was an excellent experience.
Harin Mehta family from Cleveland visit Ekal Vidyalaya
Harin Mehta family from Cleveland visited Munnar Ekal Vidyalaya. They suggested Ekal Vidyalaya has to be visited physically rather than watching on YouTube. They said they were humbled before Ekal Karyakartha and Acharya. The Acharya at the village is so passionate in his work and want the next generation to be literate.
FTS Agra Mahila Samithi visit Ekal Vidyalayas
Fts Agra - Women's Committee went for a vanyatra to Bharatpur region in Kumher sanch. They attended Acharya Samiksha Varga, distributed umbrellas to Acharyas, enquired about the difficulties faced by them and suggested solutions to their problems. They also distributed drawing books, pencils, erasers and color pencils to children and planted trees.
Mega Vanyatra by FTS Surat
FTS Surat organized a wonderful vanyatra by taking with them 45 people. They were made to stay overnight at a village. The members enjoyed the 2 day program while interacting with the children and villagers at 4 villages. These visitors have now committed themselves to Ekal Abhiyan.
