Join me in an opportunity of helping women through tailoring in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Short Summary
Can you aid me in supporting women empowerment in rural India?
My name is Prisha Bagul, a rising freshman in Bridgewater, NJ. I have been volunteering with Ekal for the past four years. This year I had started getting more involved and I began to discover the amazing entrepreneurship opportunities Ekal had for women. As an advocate for equal opportunities for women, these projects had really opened my eyes. One of the most prominent and direct projects that I saw was Ekal's Tailoring Centers. Tailoring training has been an effective skill that helps women provide for not only themselves- but also for their families. This is especailly important now that we are living in the displacement of Corona Virus. These tailoring programs help enable wome to have a strong sense of self-confidence and reliance. I am starting a campaign to raise $5,000 to help buy raw materials for training centers.
