This course will cover basic US History and is recommended for ages 10-14 but all are welcome.
Hi there! My name is Sanjana Nihalani, I am from Florida, and I am going into tenth grade this year. In my freshman year of high school I, like many high school students across America, enrolled in AP US History, which is regarded as one of the most difficult AP courses. I was soon overwhelmed by the amount of information being thrown at me, but I naturally enjoy and excel in history so I adapted to the rigor of the course and ended my freshman year at the top of my class with a 99 A grade average, however many of my classmates were unable to overcome the initial stress. Therefore, I decided to make this workshop in order to help save any incoming AP US History students from that tension, as well as to teach anyone who wants to learn more about the history of America and current events.
This workshop will cost $60 per student for nine 90 minute sessions and once the workshop starts all you will need is note taking materials, if you would like to take notes, and a mind that is ready to learn!
All of the money raised through the course of this workshop will be going to Ekal Vidyalaya in order to build a Digital Literacy Training Center, in which graduates will obtain a basic understanding of word processing, spreadsheets, accounting software, and the Internet. By doing this, Ekal Vidyalaya, and you, will be opening the graduates up to new job opportunities that were previously unavailable to them, and improving the future of the new generation.
If you are unable to enroll or donate, don't worry! You can still help make a difference by telling your friends and family about my course as well sharing about my course online. And if you are a youth, you can also create a campaign to raise money for one of Ekal Vidyalaya's many projects. Person by person, we can make a difference!
