Workshop Information:
Over the course of three sessions, we will cover basic cybersecurity topics and online safety! Participants will have the opportunity to have interactive activities and engaging lessons to learn the following topics: Passwords & Authentication, Phishing & Malware Attacks, and Network Security. Proceeds from the workshop fees will be used to support students from tribal and remote villages in India, with digital education.
About the Instructors:
The instructors are all part of the Helix Hackers, a robotics team based in Rockville, Maryland. Every season, they design, build, and program a fully functional robot that can complete a variety of tasks. They have competed and won awards at both the local and state levels. As a team, they have spent over 200 hours in the past two years teaching STEM subjects to communities across the globe! All of the instructors are high school students specializing in STEM and Computer Science subjects.
