Kriya and Shreeya's Piano Camp for Ekal

Kriya and Shreeya teach piano to young students educating them on the wonders of the art form.

This piano class is inspired by the principles of Ekal and is taught by Kriya Mahurkar and Shreeya Gharpure. Both of us have 5+ years of experience learning piano, however, it is our first time teaching younger students for both of us, so it was a learning experience. We teach children in a way that breaks down the basics and encourage them to learn better by explaining what they understand. We hope that in the future our students continue on with piano never forgetting what they learned so that maybe one day they can be teachers themselves. Teaching others made us realize that plenty of people don't even have the opportunity to learn the basics, so we found Ekal, an organization aimed at educating students in India that live in rural areas and don't have access to school.
