From Training to Transformation – Kusum Rana’s Journey in Sitarganj

Kusum Rana, a resident of a village in Sitarganj, has turned her life around through tailoring skills acquired at the Integrated Village Development (IVD) center.
With dedication and training, she is now earning a steady income and supporting her family. Her success story stands as a powerful example of how Ekal’s Gramothan and vocational training initiatives are empowering rural women.

Ekal Run 4.0 Draws Massive Participation in Delhi

Ekal Yuva, under Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad, successfully organized the 4th edition of Ekal Run on 21 December at Birsa Munda Ground, Gandhi Darshan, Delhi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups, making it a memorable and energetic celebration.
The run served as a powerful medium to promote the ideals and activities of the Ekal movement. The event was conducted with excellent planning and discipline, reflecting the strong commitment of the organizing team.
Participants displayed great spirit and performance, while the coordination and execution by the Ekal Yuva team earned wide appreciation from attendees and guests. The dedication and teamwork of the Ekal Yuva BLSP team made the event a grand success.

Andhra Pradesh CM Applauds Ekal Vidyalaya Initiatives

A delegation from Friends of Tribals Society, which oversees Ekal Vidyalaya across India, met N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to discuss the organization's educational and nation-building work among tribal communities.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister was presented with a shawl and the book “Swaraj Ka Shankhnad”, detailing the organization's journey since 1989. Nara Bhuvaneswari Devi, wife of the Chief Minister, was also present and honored similarly.
Chandrababu Naidu appreciated Ekal’s work and shared valuable suggestions for enhancing its impact further.

“Colors of India – with Ekal” Showcases Culture and Commitment in Bhubaneswar

A grand cultural evening titled “Colors of India – with Ekal” was held at Rail Auditorium, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, jointly organized by Friends of Tribals Society and Shrihari Satsang Samiti.
The Ekal Surtal Team captivated the audience with performances of folk dances, music, Ram Katha, and patriotic presentations, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage.
Surama Padhy, Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, graced the event as Chief Guest. She praised Ekal’s inspiring mission and expressed her willingness to adopt an Ekal school.
Eminent personalities including Mansukh Sethia, Lalchand Mahato, and Prakash Bhoora were also present, encouraging more support for the Ekal movement.
The event powerfully highlighted Ekal’s dedication to education, values, and national spirit.

Over 500 Beneficiaries in Dual Health Camps in Prayagraj Region

On 17 December 2025, two successful medical camps were organized in the Phulpur Anchal of the South Uttar Pradesh Division, Prayagraj Region.
The first camp was held at Bahariya village’s Panchayat Bhavan, where around 250 patients received medical check-ups and treatment guidance. An introduction to the camp and Ekal’s role was given by Prahlad Prasad, Division Activity Head.
The second camp took place at Devnari Vidyalaya, Sarson Sach village, focusing on eye health. Approximately 295 individuals, both men and women, received free eye examinations and spectacles.
The camps were coordinated by Pawan Shukla. Medical support was provided by Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Dr. Akash Dixit. Village Pradhan Gulab Tripathi also participated, along with Anchal President Alok Gupta, Anchal Abhiyan Pramukh Sandeep Kumar, and Anchal Activity Pramukh Pachalal.

Ekal Arogya | 2025 Year-End Impact Bringing Healthcare Closer to Rural India

In 2025, Ekal Arogya, in collaboration with Intelehealth, significantly strengthened its rural healthcare reach by providing telemedicine and primary healthcare services to 2,000 villages across 13 states, operating in 8 regional languages. With improved infrastructure and more robust service delivery, the initiative successfully reached 2.24 million people with preventive healthcare. This impactful work earned Ekal Arogya an outstanding NGO grading, recognizing its excellence and measurable impact in the healthcare sector.

Inspiring Van Yatra by Kanpur Chapter at Prasad Purwa

On 12 November 2025, the Kanpur Chapter of Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad organized a Van Yatra at the Ekal school in Prasad Purwa, Sanch–Shivli.
The visit offered a firsthand look at Ekal’s impact on rural education and transformation. The children showcased Ekal songs, rhymes, prayers, and academic skills. Chief Guest Vineet Gupta from the USA was honored with handmade drawings and deeply appreciated the school's model.
The school, supported by Crystal Corp and Nand Kishore Agrawal, also features a Poshan Vatika. A tailoring center was inaugurated in nearby Sujja Niwada village to empower 20 local women.
The event was led by Sanch Pramukh Neeta Dutta, with active participation from the Kanpur Chapter team and village committee members.

Kochi Chapter’s Two-Day Vanyatra Marks Joyful Children’s Day in Idukki

The Kochi Chapter and Mahila Samiti organized a two-day Vanyatra in Idukki Anchal to celebrate Children’s Day and distribute prizes for student competitions.
Nearly 350 entries were received across four Sanchs for drawing, essay, and fancy dress competitions. Winners were honored during a vibrant gathering at Munnar Sanch with 63 students, 24 Acharyas, and 9 karyakartas.
Vanyatra highlights included school visits to Lakham and Pullavasi villages, inspiring performances by students, and heartfelt moments with dedicated Acharyas like Brinda (M.Com), teaching in her modest home.
The event concluded with games, cultural activities, and lunch sponsored by chapter patrons and the Mahila Samiti.
