Empower girls and boys so they can get a basic education in rural India.
My name is Nidhi Gupta, and am a senior at Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, Texas. I have worked with Ekal for 4 years, conducting virtual workshops, where I teach and tutor students, as a fundraiser. Past workshops include Algebra 2, Spanish, and Geometry. Having started an Ekal club at my school, we have done events like Bake Sale Fundraiser and volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, hosted workshops, and volunteered in annual Gala events.
As Ekal connected with me, I visited the villages in rural Odisha, India and have seen the schools in-person: they are so heart-touching, but we need to impact more children and women to get empowered across various part of India.
