Workshop Information (Curriculum Covered)
Over the course of eight sessions, we will cover the basics of game design and development! Students will learn about game design, art design, sound design, music, and programming. Students will be led through the process of creating a game in a fast timeline. Students will have the opportunity to finish and publish a game online by the end of the course. Students should have access to a computer, and have a passion and at least some experience creating in any of the fields above (art, music, programming.) THERE WILL BE HOMEWORK TO ENSURE STUDENTS FINISH THEIR GAME WITHIN A SHORT TIMELINE.
About the Instructor:
Anuj Shirodkar is a high school student specializing in STEM and engineering topics. Anuj Shirodkar has always enjoyed both video and board games. Additionally, he is fluent in multiple programming languages including Java, C#, C++, and C. He has created his own personal game project and participated in several game jams. Anuj also enjoys creating art in his free time.
