Adorned tribute to Shri Chandrakant, Jammu and Kashmir

Shri. Chandra Kant, was Treasurer of Ekal AbhiyanKishtwarAnchal.
On 8th April afternoon while he was on duty in the district hospital Kishtwar where he worked as a medical assistant in health department, an unknown gunman threw indiscriminate firing on him in the OPD, in which one of his bodyguards was martyred on the spot and he himself was seriously injured and later succumbed to his injuries in Jammu hospital
Shri. ShaheedChandrakantjiplayed a very special role in the expansion of Ekal Abhiyan in the terrorized areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The work of Ekal in this area started from Kishtwar zone. At that time, Kishtwar was badly affected by the district terrorism, but Shri. Chandrakant played a large part in the expansion of the organization with his team without caring for his life. Due to such strong and courageous workers, there has been such a huge system of Ekal in Jammu and Kashmir today.
He continued to serve the nation and the society regardless of his lives till his last breath.

Super Woman of Ekal

One of Ekal's most inspirational brand ambassadors is Ms. ChhayaKangne, whose efforts in empowering rural women have made an enormous difference to the lives of hundreds of families. A resident of village Penda, Kinwat district, SanchBodhadi, Maharashtra, she has been working relentlessly for a decade in training women to produce and sell colour compounds made from natural ingredients. Her other major contributions include improving community sanitation and encouraging literacy in the villages. She is widely recognized and respected for her hard work in making Ekal Abhiyan successful. We take this moment to salute her for her immense dedication to Ekal's mission.
