Spanning education, digital literacy, health, and skills training, our work empowers people living in rural India by giving them the resources and tools to help themselves.
All our projects are implemented by on-the-ground partners, who work in the communities in which they live. This ensures that projects are tailored to the community's needs and advised by community guidance.
Since 1989, we've reached 100 million people living in over 100,000 rural villages.
With a credible presence in 100,000+ villages across all Indian states, Ekal is bringing widespread empowerment to rural India.

"At the Karanjo Gramothan Resource Center, I learned about the benefits of vermicompost. It's great for the environment and helps grow nutritious food. I began to produce my own compost, and I sell what I don't use to my community. This has provided me with an extra source of income."
